I have an Aspire 315 and tried to install another edition of Windows 11. Installer requires internet connection, but wifi seems disabled on notebook, no wifi is detected. Installation process stucked. What kind of adapter should I buy to use wired connection to continue installation?

Hi @ak91 when you reach the page that requests the internet connection, use Shift + F10 to open the terminal and execute:

    oobe\bypassnro

    All the best.

I have already tried this, but nothing happened. I have tried also Shift + Fn + F10. Keyboard layout is german. Could it be a problem in this case?

    Try Alt+F10

    All the best.

@Alejandro_AC : Maybe another combination please? That is not working. I also tried a lot more and Task manager was opened and even though Network connection was killed, but installer stucked with error message.

Why aren't available wifi connections recognized during install?

If you are getting the “Let’s Connect You to a Network” and there is no internet connection, look at this guide that explains what you should do How to bypass internet connection to install Windows 11 during the setup process that you are following in Microsoft Community.

    Or do this:

Windows 11 Installation Stuck at Let's connect you to a network

At the section at Let's connect you to a network > Press > Shift+Alt+F10 (this is what you do for Acer laptops) but the usual is Shift + F10 > to get the cmd prompt up at C:\Windows\System32> then type in OOE\BYPASSNRO > then press Enter > get out of cmd and get back to the installation again and press the > Continue with limited setup > and finish the Win-11 installation and you get to the Win-11 desktop screen.

At the Win-11 desktop screen > right click on the Windows icon > Device Manager > Network adapters and you should have an uninstalled title for your WLAN Wi-Fi card which you should install either by its setup.exe from its driver or through the Device Manager Update driver so that you have Wi-Fi.

What version of Windows 11 do you want to install, a Home or a Pro?

@Alejandro_AC : This is installer of Pro version.

Review the information it provides you StevenGen but the Pro version does not need commands so that it does not request the Wi-Fi connection, it should give you the possibility to skip it:

Hm, that is interesting, because I tried Home and also Pro, but the installation process was the same in both cases.
