I got this Acer spin 7 - SP714-51, the battery is not charging at all, the battery is recognised and is plugged in but not charged at all. Always the battery level is 0%. Thought its a battery problem so try a new battery and the problem still exists. Help me as it is too annoying to have the power cable connected to my laptop, once the power cable is out, the laptop shuts immediately.

Is your power adapter the original one that came with the laptop in 2017, 65W Type C USB-C Laptop Charger?

Try removing the battery drivers from Device Manager then reboot to allow them to be reinstalled. That will potentially help of they have corrupted settings.

OK, was the battery you purchased correct for the model, or was it just a 'fits the same'? I still suspect software, but if the battery weren't correct the system wouldn't be able to get correct status data out of it, which may be why it's showing as empty all the time.

i guess its the software issue … the battery is for my laptop model. I had another one thought it was a battery so returned it and get a new one and still the same issue
