So when I press the power button, the laptop tries to boot a few times before actually starting up.

And the startup sound that I've disabled also gets enabled for some reason

Are you keeping the power button down long to boot? just press it briefly. You may have some Power Plan settings not set properly. Reset BIOS with F9 in BIOS and save changes on exit BIOS. In Windows reset Power Plan to factory default in "Edit Power Plan". Refresh the system image with this command while online with the Internet: Dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth and after completion run this command: SFC /scannow that should end with "…did not find any integrity violations" repeat till you see that,

No I'm not pressing the button long. It just one tap and it is doing this since a few days. What could be the reason it unmutes startup sound, changes Microsoft edge search engine from Google to default. It also enables fast boot option which I've disabled.

Startup sound is difficult to turn off as it is the Windows default sound in the registry not the startup sound in Windows Sound Settings. Even if you disable that setting in the registry it will be reset to default eventually when you boot. Do these commands I wrote above you may have some corrupted system files that repeat the booting. Also check if the repeated booting happens in Safe Mode that would indicate a rogue driver. To boot in Safe mode in Windows press the Shift key and keep it pressed down while clicking on Restart on the Start menu Power icon-Restart. You are mentioning many different issues, try to solve them one at the time, uninstall all your 3rd-party browsers, bloatware and trial versions of programs, how did you upgrade to Windows11, did you do a clean install with an ISO image, what version of W11 are you on now, should be 23H2 build 22631.3593

hello, thank you for responding so promptly. But the issues are only caused when the booting process is malfunctioning. They are all resultant issues of the main boot problem. And the startup sound I was saying about was the predator sound. I recently did windows repair but it's of no use. The issue isn't happening on every boot. Like for instance if I'm using the machine and restart it in some time it boots up perfectly fine. The last time it happened was when I shut it down at night around 12 hours ago. And in the morning I faced the issue. Windows 11 was upgraded automatically from windows 10. I will do a clean install after backing up everything. Will update you soon.
