Hello,

the Hinge on my Acer Aspire Vero AV15-51-51ZW has broken. Is there a way to replace the part of the hinges that are covered by the screen? What would be the part number for a replacement?

Thank you for your help!

    I am sorry to see that, this is a major repair job, the lid, case, frame and hinge assembly all need to be replaced. I assume the warranty has already expired after 2-3 years? The repair costs will probably be 50% of what you paid for your laptop if done professionally by Acer Services, so you have to decide if repairing is still worth it or are you better off trading the Vero in and buying a new laptop, I read somewhere that Acer/Amazon have a trade-in promo for the Aspire 3 A315-24P series ($300). The parts are not expensive it is the labor costs. If you want to check the hinge costs visit Zandparts: https://www.zandparts.com/en/product/acer-33-aycn2-002

    Why would the lid and the case need to be replaced? Cant i glue the new hinge into the old frame and lid?

    @excribo

    You can take this to a PC repair shop and ask them to stick the hinge back to the lid with stronger glue.

    Please remember to include @AnhEZ28 when you want to reply back to my comment so that I can check your response.
    Thank you and have a nice day!

    You can't glue polycarbonate, would not last one day, it needs to be screwed with tiny screws and the lid is damaged on your picture.
