Cursor disappeared from my new Aspire 3 Aspire A315-24PT laptop

I've tried everything suggested from the Windows 11 side. I did get a message upon logging in at one point that said AMD not working and to check the store for more information about AMD software (what store?)

One suggestion I saw said to contact laptop manufacturer to see if there is a more recent driver that needs to be downloaded.

My laptop froze before the cursor disappeared. I had just downloaded a photo editor called PhotoScape X and used it for quite a few hours but have now uninstalled.'

I did a clean boot but did not help. Checked that all configuration for mouse pointer was correct.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Hi,

Could you please post the full model name of the laptop along with the Device Manager picture where you see a yellow warning triangle, in the meantime, try a battery reset like shown in the link.

Model number is Aspire A315-24PT

I don't see yellow warning in attached device manager screenshot. Will try battery reset now.

Thanks heavens I bought a laptop with touch screen or would be totally unusable.

Note in attached pic screen shot that my touch screen settings are greyed out. I did not go in and enable things again after clean boot. Will investigate.

Oops. here is screen shot of touch settings window.

I also went into Device Manager, HD Compliant touch screen. Everything looks ok. It is enabled. Attached screen shot.

Microsoft technician took over remotely, looked around, could see no issues with setup for mouse pointer and touch screen, changed a few things but nothing helped to he initiated download of Windows 11. Hopefully will have fixed the problem.
