I have a monitor that is a Acer ED273U and it has an issue where the left half of the screen is really dark, to the point where I can barely see what I'm trying to display. I unplugged the monitor from my pc, verifying that it isn't an issue with my pc. I did some research and found this fix action from a previous post:

"I called Acer support and they had me disconnect all the cords and hold the power button for 30 seconds. I guess it built up a static charge and holding the power without cables connected disappates it. It looks fine now."

I tried it multiple times and it didn't work, sometimes for a few minutes at a time. Does anybody have a fix for this?

Can you show us a picture of the problem? Are you still in warranty? Can you see the issue with the splash screen or on the OSD?

It went back to normal for the time being, so I can't take a picture of the splash screen when I power on, but I did grab this picture earlier. I let the monitor sit unplugged for the past 4 hours and it seems to be ok again. This isn't the first time this has happened, so i'm not sure if this is defective. I'm still in warranty, but I really don't want to ship it back to get repaired. I'm not in the US, so I can pretty much guarantee it's going to get damaged on the way back.
