You can use the laptop in Europe as the adapter is adjustable to the power voltage in Europe but you need the appropriate power plug to fit into their power points. Also, the commonly used model number of your laptop is not the #N17Q8 number, the commonly used number of your laptop is as follows, if its a Nitro gaming laptop the model number used is like AN515-xx-xxxx or if its an Aspire 3 its the A315-xx-xxxx etc etc and that is the number that is used. Good luck.

Yes, I do understand, remember that all laptop adapters have a standardized INPUT of 100-240V that is written on the adapter charger, which means that whenever you plug this adapter and laptop into any power outlets with a range of 100-240V the laptop will work. Also, I'm just a little bit younger than you @ 71 😂and I have been in the computer industry since 1984 so I do understand your predicament, good luck and hope I've helped you out and if you have any other questions don't hesitate to ask the community. Good luck!

The oem Acer supplied adapter are from either DELTA ADP-45HG BA, LITE-ON PA-1450-50AD or Chicony A18-045N1A and the DELTA and Chicony are the same specs while the Lite-On is a little bit different in the INPUT voltage like its listed below.

The below table are adapters for the released 2021 Acer Chromebook CB311-11H/CB311-11HT which should be the same as yours.

Actually it's a ACER CHROMEBOOK 311..I just saw it on the box. I'm not tech savvy at all as you probably have assumed. At age 74, not so many of us are :)) I've spend hours trying to ascertain if I'll be needing a 'converter' but it seems an adaptor is all I'll need. Thank you so much for your reply. I'm grateful there is someone out there that can help an old lady. ( a retired old cop )

Again, thank you so much. I'm very grateful for your replies. I've ordered the type C European plug adaptor and will tape it to the power charger cord with electrical tape so that when I leave the hotel rooms, I don't accidentally leave the adaptor behind in the wall outlet. BTW: I've looked and looked for that info you mentioned 'INPUT 100-240V' and it's NOWHERE to be found, not even on the black little box connected to the power cord, or the box it came in, or on the back of the laptop. I even dug out the magnifying glass to no avail. :(( Tami
