Random Black Screens after BIOS Updates Acer Aspire A715-42G.

Hello. I made a mistake and downloaded optional Windows Update named "Insyde Software -Firmware - 5.42.1.8".

Now my computer's screen randomly turns black and I need to forcefully restart it. It is not reversible in windows update too.

I can use the computer normally for 5 or 40 minutes and then the black screen appears. I am thinking of installing latest BIOS update, but what if it crushes again while I install it, won't that brick my laptop? Is there still a risk of these random black screen interruptions if I update it with USB in BIOS? What should I do?

I installed BIOS update yesterday. Everything was fine, black screens stopped. But today they started appearing again.

Did you update the BIOS to the V1.10? And the issue still persists?

When the black screen issue happens, do you hear any sounds?

Hello! Access the bios and then press the f9 key to restore settings and f10 to save and exit. Check if the problem with a black screen continues to occur.

Sorry about the delay in getting back to you. My computer was in the shop, so I couldn't access my account to respond. It came back, but they couldn't fix it. So I tried your suggestion with bios, and now it's back to normal! No problems anymore! Thank you so much! 🙏

My Bios V1.8 now. There wasn't any sounds when black screens occured. I tried the method which Commodore_1995# suggested and and it worked! Thank you both for the your advice and assistance! ☺️🙏
