Hello,

I recently accidentally uninstalled the speaker driver for my XV272UW2 Acer monitor, and now I am unable to use them even after reinstalling the monitor drivers and resetting my monitor to factory settings. The device does not show up in my audio settings and also in my device manager.

This is all I get when installing the monitor drivers.

As you can see, I cannot select my monitor speaker.

Please let me know how I can fix this issue. Thanks!

Go to Windows settings, select System, then click the sound option. And choose the output device from the monitor, then adjust the volume. When you cannot find your monitor on the output device list, unplug and replug the cable. If the monitor's speakers are not working, it's usually due to incorrectly configured settings or cables. There are a few things you can do to solve this issue, like checking your connections, adjusting the volume, performing a sound test, or playing sound using a device other than your monitor.

Unplugging the monitor cables doesn't do anything. I already said your suggestions don't work.

    -Run windows update

-Reinstall Gpu driver using ddu Uninstaller while monitor is connected during whole process. Check step no. 8

Many of the XV272UW2 model do not have speakers installed. Are you sure you got one with speakers instead of one without? The ones without are a few dollars cheaper to buy…

Yes, I did buy the one with speakers. It worked until I accidentally uninstalled the speaker drivers.

If your monitor has speakers and they worked before, then you have to re-install your GRAPHICS card driver.

Your monitor gets audio from the hdmi cable. Your hdmi audio comes from your graphics card driver.

    How can I do that?
