Hi all
complete noob here.
I want to upgrade my daughters Acer Nitro 5 AN515-45-R218 laptop by adding in a Samsung 980 1TB M.2 NVMe Internal SSD. I believe the laptop has a second SSD slot to plug this in.
Not sure if the Samsung SSD is compatible though as I have read some threads here that say that not all SSD’s are compatible with the Acer laptop. Have checked with some local vendors and they are not sure as well.
Was hoping someone here can help by letting me know if this will work with my laptop. Don’t want to spend money and get the wrong SSD as they won’t take it back if I open the package

Yes, you can use Samsung 980 1TB drive to upgrade this model, there's a second slot for upgrade.

Just some further information for you, the SSD1 which is the boot drive and you should install the OS onto is located in the below spot and the SSD2 which is the slave M.2 slot is the other slot that your laptop has. Good luck.
