Bios Password reset cmos jumper travelmate 5760

Member Posts: 1 New User

Hi, I can't change my boot priority to install windows again and I don't know the bios password anymore.

I tried many things on my travelmate 5760 for example disconnect the cmos battery.

I now want to shortcut the cmos jumper but I cannot find any information as to where they are located. Please , can anybody help?

Thanks

That jumper or resetting the CMOS won't reset the BIOS password, you have to bring the laptop to Acer Services to either reprogram the ePROM or replace it (not expensive). We cannot advise on password issues in this forum.
