I don't know which model laptop you have but the fist solution is to completely uninstall the Wi-Fi driver that doesn't work and install the oem Acer Wi-Fi for your laptop which is at the Acer Support page for your laptop.

Note: If your card is the Killer card which Intel acquired the company behind the popular Killer brand of Wi-Fi products, Rivet Networks, in May 2020 as and allot of the Killer card drivers which intel took over and are updating for Win-11 are problematic and some of the Killer cards don't work at all with the new Intel drivers for either WLAN but especially Bluetooth. Only use the Acer allocated drivers for your laptop as they should work 100%. Good luck and hope this helps you out.

The model is an Aspire 3 Model number N20C6 `I only bought it new in February . Why wasn’t this new machine loaded with only acer drivers if the problem is known about since 2020.
it only works on Ethernet now no WiFi at all . I should be able to get a refund for this faulty machine

The Acer quoted N20C6 number refers that your laptop is the Aspire A317-52-XXXX model (btw, you can get your laptops proper A317-52-XXXX ID number off the same sticker on the bottom of the laptopthat you got the N20C5 number was written on) don't use the N20C6 ID number as as reference as it means nothing and not many techs or people know its relevance as this is an Acer model. So for appropriate drivers that work and your laptop was released with, go to the Acer Support page for the Aspire A317-52 and get the oem WLAN and Bluetooth drivers from there for your card, as these drivers are the drivers that work 100%. Good luck.
