My Acer Nitro 5 laptops SSD keeps overheating while causing huge performance drops and system shutdowns. This problem is even present when the SSD is idle. The laptop has 2 SSDs and an HDD. The overheating SSD is the factory one, and the other drives work just fine. And I can't just take it out beacause the Windows is on it. What can I do to fix this? (Sorry for the bad english, I'm still learning it.)

You should go to service center.i think they will provide you foil paper to wrap the SSD that will remove heat.

You are definitely not stupid but you have to listen to people that give you an honest advice, as there is NO magic fix for your M.2 SSD drive overheating problem but to do the following. First tell us what your laptop model number and what is the manufacturer and model number of the M.2 SSD drive that your Acer laptop has.

To fix this problem you can try these two choices, first choice is to buy thermal pad material and cover the top of the M.2 SSD drive completely with the thermal pad material to cool it down, second choice, is to buy a new M.2 SSD drive and clone your oem M.2 SSD boot drive and see if the new drive is a better drive and will not overheat.

These are two wraps for M.2 SSD drives that Acer uses for all the new Predator laptops to reduce heat, so buy this warp as that is what has been suggested to you above:
