The problem is that the laptop does not turn on after shutting down when using battery power. However, it turns on after plugging in the charger. Once the laptop is turned on, I can remove the charger and the laptop will continue to work fine on battery power.

your system has a battery pinhole reset on the bottom, insert sim ejector pin in the battery reset pinhole and hold the button down for 5 seconds. This solved my problem.

Your laptop supports Thunderbolt 4, Power Delivery (PD), are you using a 100-Watt USB-C charger? Your battery is too weak to boot, get a larger USB-C charger: https://www.zdnet.com/article/best-usb-c-laptop-charger/ If you are using the brick AC power adapter that came with your laptop, try to charge with a USB-C charger instead.

Here are some troubleshooting steps you can take.

Check the power source: Make sure your laptop is connected to a power source and that the power source is working properly. Try plugging the laptop into a different outlet or using a different power cable.

Reset the laptop: Try resetting the laptop by disconnecting it from the power source and removing the battery (if possible). Hold down the power button for 15-20 seconds, then release it. Reconnect the power source and try turning on the laptop again.

Check the battery: If your laptop has a removable battery, make sure it is properly installed and charged. If the battery is old or damaged, it may need to be replaced.

Check the RAM: If the laptop's RAM is not functioning properly, it may prevent the laptop from turning on. Try removing the RAM and reinserting it. If that doesn't work, try using a different RAM module.

Check for hardware issues: If none of the above steps work, there may be an issue with the laptop's hardware. This could be a problem with the motherboard, processor, or other components. You may need to take the laptop to a professional for repairs.

In regards to the issue specifically mentioned, where the laptop will only power on after the battery is removed and reinserted, this could be caused by a hardware issue with the battery or the laptop's power management system. Hope this helps.

Disconnect the AC power adapter and completely shut down the laptop by holding the Power button. If your laptop has a removable battery, take it out; otherwise, you can skip this step. Next, press and hold the Power button for about 15-20 seconds to eliminate any residual power. Then, locate the pinhole on the bottom of your laptop that has a battery icon next to it. If you removed the battery, make sure to put it back in, and then plug the AC power adapter back in. Finally, press the Power button to turn the laptop back on.

Do a Hard Reset (see guide below) as the Aspire A715-76G laptops EC chip or chipset chips get frozen and this reset will reset both chips, if either is faulty these chips can be changed with a new chip, also you may have problems in the main power and recharge section of the laptop, which only a technician can analyze and fix. Good luck and hope this helps you out, be aware that resets and opening and doing anything unworthy can damage a laptop and waste your time also.

Hard Reset: Remove eleven (11) screws from the base cover A715-76G laptop, then carefully pry up the base cover starting from the upper right side to release the latches, continue to release the remaining latches on the upper, left, right, and bottom sides. Then grasp and remove the base cover from the system.

Take the main battery out and disconnect the RTC/BIOS battery and then short these batteries + & - pins at the mainboard plug and take the ram out, leave the laptop like that for at least 1 hour (preferably overnight) and then reconnect everything.

Sort the mobo RTC battery plug +&- pins at C below to reset CMOS

When reconnecting everything back, if you have 2x ram modules only connect 1x ram module first and alternate the ram to see if the ram is not the issue of the laptop not booting properly or its the EC or Chipset chips that are causing this boot issue as this will reset the laptop and the laptop should boot properly.
