Hi, I recently purchased an Acer Nitro V15 (ANV15-51) laptop with a RTX GPU, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of SSD. However, I ran into a problem today. I tried to open the NitroSense software using the keyboard's nitro sense button, but it wouldn't open. I kept pressing the button, though, and eventually an error message stating that a "Java script error occurred in the main process" appeared. I've attached it below. This is my first laptop, and it is new, so I'm concerned. Why is it still crashing and lagging when it seems to have almost high-end specs?

My other apps stopped working as a result of NitroSense not responding, and my computer slowed down.
Will it be due of my recent update to the most recent version of Windows 11? Everything was OK before then. Should I remove the most recent updates for Windows 11? I'm genuinely concerned because if my computer with these specs lags when I open basic apps like email, browsers, and NitroSense, how will I be able to play heavy games? Please take notice that this problem was resolved following a restart during which I removed all Windows updates installed after purchasing this laptop, but I'm still concerned about whether or not it will recur. I appreciate any assistance, thank you.

Not unusual. Like Win10, Win11 is still being refined. Many of its updates cause issues. Particularly when they automatically replace OEM device drivers.

When using Windows, I manually control updates. Usually by enabling a metered connection. I then make sure Control Panel's restore point app is turned on with a large enough cache so that I can quickly identify and reverse errant updates as they arise. Not ideal. But works for me.

I also regularly check for Acer OEM device driver or firmware updates that often fix these Windows updates problems.

Ah I see. But tbh its very much annoying when it doesn't pop up when we really need it, also I fixed it by uninstalling latest windows updates. Everyone keeps telling me to keep up to date with the latest windows updates but I am scared to do so as it may break the nitro sense software : (

Ignore them. Not all updates are recommended. Windows updates can and do have bugs that cause issues like this. This is why there's a restore point app to reverse errant updates.

Accordingly, I suggest that you enable the metered connection and make sure System Protection is turned in Control Panel's restore point app. This way you can control when updates are downloaded and applied. And System Protection in the restore point app allows you to quickly identify and reverse any questionable updates that seem to be causing problems.

Yeah that's really cool, could you explain it step by step on how to achieve this? Or could you provide me any reference or guide for achieving the same..

Right click wifi icon in tray. Click open network & internet settings. Click wifi properties. Scroll down and turn on METERED CONNECTION.

Search Windows start menu 'restore point'. Click 'create a restore point' near top of menu. Make sure system PROTECTION SETTINGS is turned on.
