Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

    1. Check
your graphics card settings: Make sure your graphics card is set to
output at 144Hz. You can usually do this through your graphics card
      control panel.
    2. Update
your graphics card drivers: Outdated drivers can cause performance
issues. Check for updates for your graphics card and install them if
      available.
    3. Adjust
monitor settings: Some monitors have settings that can affect their
performance. Check the monitor's on-screen display (OSD) settings for
options related to response time, overdrive, or input lag.
    4. Check
your cables: Use a high-quality DisplayPort or HDMI cable that supports
144Hz. Older or lower-quality cables may not be capable of transmitting
      the higher refresh rate.
    5. Disable
V-Sync: If you have V-Sync enabled in your games or graphics settings,
try disabling it. V-Sync can sometimes limit your frame rate and cause
      input lag.
    6. Test
with different games or applications: The issue might be specific to
certain software. Try running different games or applications to see if
the problem persists across all of them.

If you've tried these steps and the issue still persists, it may be worth reaching out to Acer's customer support for further assistance.

For Acer Nitro 5 screen issues, ensure graphics drivers are updated, adjust display settings, and check for BIOS updates. If external monitors perform better, it might indicate a laptop display problem. Reach out to Acer support or consider professional calibration for the laptop screen.
