Hi all. tell me, so that the frequency is 4800. Should this be activated?. I installed a new BIOS firmware, but nothing has changed for me.

Could not wait to get this installed. It is a BIOS update and XMP is finally unlocked. But since we are locked out of the BIOS options we will not know what else is changed. Installed, long first boot, 4800 4 sticks Furry Beast 64GB. EXCELLENT! On to the bad. CineBench 24 score has dropped by 1000 points. Big problem for me, more of a video editor than a gamer. Heaven max fps actually down a few and the score dropped. XMP off, CineBench almost the same new low score. So other settings have changed in this BIOS. Settings I need back but oh well new MOB soon. Careful what you wish for I guess.

when you ran Cinebench was it after a restart? mine gets better scores after a restart compared to when ive used the pc awhile and its a huge difference actually, with any benchmark i test on.

Why are we locked out of all the bios settings?

that's how ALL prebuilt computers are from any manufacturer, it keeps us and them safe from warranty issues with overclocking. that's why so many replace the motherboard or build their own.

Oh! I understand, a bit strange not to have the option to "break" the warranty and get the full bios imo :P

After updating, XMP is still greyed out. I can't change it in my BIOS.
I have a PO7-640

Do you still have the original memory installed? To use XMP overclocking all the memory in the system has to support the same XMP profile, so leaving the original non-XMP in will disable XMP.

ow yeah, still running the original memory.

There you go… You can test by removing the original memory, then boot into the BIOS and verify you can enable XMP. Then either run like that until you get more XMP memory, or remove the XMP and run only on the old memory until you can get more XMP. Running with both installed, or only the XMP but not in XMP mode, will drop the memory speed to the base rate of the XMP memory, typically 2133 or 2400.
