The Aspire 3 A315-35 has the following memory upgrade specifications and recommended memory modules that you should use for any capacity upgrade. Note: that the max memory of 32GB is achieved with a kit of 2x 16GB DDR4-3200Mhz CL22 type ram, in addition to the memory combinations list below, good luck and hope this helps you out.

The below memory modules are the Acer tested ram modules for this laptop, so they are 100% compatible:

    Thanks for that useful info.

I have the 314-35 with factory fitted, SK Hynix 8GB PC4 3200AA-SA2-11 RAM. (HMA81GS6DJR8N-XB N0 AC) I want to upgrade this to 16GB, which i believe is the maximum for this machine.

Which is the better option? Install an additional 8Gb of similar (3200) spec. Install 2 x new 8GB or insyall a single 16GB.

Many thanks in advance, for any replies.

The best and the cheapst is to add another and the same SK Hynix 8GB PC4 3200AA-SA2-11 RAM. (HMA81GS6DJR8N-XB N0 AC) ram stick as your Aspire A314-35 has. Good luck.

    Thanks StevenGen.

Adding the same is tempting, but after a little superficial look-a-round, finding one here in the Philippines could be a stretch.

A new pair of Kingston or Crucial 6GB/3200 in a good PC shop would be less than the equivalent of US$ 30

I think I'll go with 2 new 8Gbs. Probably more cost effective, as if I do source an identical SK Hynix 8GB, there may be a chance that they may not "pair" (my word). 3 year old well used and a "virgin" one?

    Thanks again for the reply.

    Oops!

That should be 8GB/3200 not 6GB/3200. My bad..
