Touch screen has stopped responding to touch in Veriton X2680G

Acer Desktop Veriton X2680G, has recently stopped responding to screen touch. Works fine with mouse. Have looked at Device Manager, AcerDesktop, Human Interface Devices but Display is not listed.

Up to date with Windows 11. Last update KB5033920 12/01/24

Not sure when touch facility stopped but in the last week or two.

Any Suggestions?

    Double check to make sure that USB cable between the computer and the monitor hasn't come loose.

    Thanks but this is not the problem. The display works fine, just the touch facility has stopped working

    In order for a touchscreen to work, the screen has to have a data connection between the computer and screen. That is done with a USB cable and is not part of HDMI or DP. You need to have that USB cable connected between the touch screen and the computer.

    The screen works, only the touch facility that doesn't work

    When was the last time it was working fine.

    Sometimes a simple system restore will fix the issue..

    If you are able to login to windows..

    Try windows + x on keyboard. It will show you a menu
    click on power shell admin or command prompt admin or Terminal admin - click on yes
    type rstrui on blue or black window
    chose an earlier date on which your computer was working fineclick on next, finish, yes
    It will restore your computer to an earlier date
    if you get an message - system restore not completed or completed - click on close
    It will show you all the icons..
    Try and check whether it is working now ..

    But as I said, touch requires that USB cable to be connected. Is it? Can you take a picture of the back of the monitor showing all the connections?

    Not the connection at the back of the monitor but at the back of the computer

    Uninstall the device in Device Manager and reboot. Windows should reload the drivers. If not, you can try reloading the drivers/software manually.
