Can't control new CPU cooler fan speed with Predator Sense Orion 5000 (PO5-650)

Hi,
I've just gotten a Noctua NH-U12A CPU cooler installed in my Predator Sense Orion 5000 (PO5-650) and I can't control the fan speed with Predator Sense. It worked just fine with the standard boxed cooler.

The fans of the Noctua CPU cooler are running at very high speeds the entire time. I tried the automatic mode in Predator Sense and then controlling the speed in manual mode and it shows that the fan speed increases or decreases, but the fans don't actually change their speed. Additionally, the fan at the back also runs at a very high speed now. Which it didn't do before. Are they linked? I'm incredibly confused.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Did you, by any chance, change to a different fan connector? That sounds like it's connected to the water pump connector instead of the CPU fan connector, and IIRC they are very close to each other. The WP isn't used on the PO5 models, it's used on the PO7 models, which have the same motherboard.

both fans should be connected using the supplied y-cable then plugged into port 4 where the stock fan for the cooler was for it to work properly. from what i see they messed it up. looks like they have each Noctua fan plugged into the wrong ports. looks like the left fan is in the rear fan port and the rear fan is now in port 3 and the right fan is in the stock CPU cooler fan spot. they totally messed it up and you need to fix it.

Thank you for the quick answer. Personally I didn't connect anything. I took it to a computer shop. So, I have absolutely no idea where it has to be connected.

With the old cooler there are four connectors on the right side and just two at the top. Now I probably just need to know which connector goes where …

I've put the y-cable in and reconnected the CPU cooler and the rear fan to the correct ports as you said and now it is working.

awesome yw, now that extra cooler fan put above the cooler for exhaust. here is my 5000 that i have modified for better airflow.

Yeah, I actually bought an extra fan from Noctua (NF-A12x25 PWM) with the CPU cooler to attach it to the top. There wasn't enought time yesterday at the computer shop. I got there forty minutes before closing time, so I didn't ask. With those wrongly attached wires, I'm not actually sad I didn't get to ask though. Who knows how that would have ended.

How did you attach the upper fans with those double mesh plates at the top? The holes aren't aligned, so I wasn't sure how to get it done.

yeah, the holes match up perfect with any 120mm fan i just used number 6 screws 1-1/4 inch long and the matching nuts. i have 2 of the stock cooler fans up there and then on the NH-U12A i put 2 cooler master high velocity mobius fans.
