I've tried wrestling with this for awhile. Acer drivers, ASRock drivers, Intel drivers, re-installs, DDU, admin, not admin, other utils off, anti-virus off.... support searches and posts. The install seems to complete successfully, but then only leaves a 0 size file in the shortcut target.

Win10. Ryzen 3700x on Asus TUF x570 board, but that shouldn't matter.. the card seems to work o.k. as far as benchmarks, etc.

Can anyone help ? I hate the rainbow of colors shining thru the case.

No. It turned out that the installer couldn't write the contents of the file, probably due to some borked security settings. I solved this problem by re-installing fresh Windows. It has been fine since.

Are you by chance running the installer from inside a zipped folder? If So Unzip and run as Administrator.

If this doesnt help give this program a shot https://openrgb.org/
