Acer AN517-42 Headset MIC NOT WORKING I cannot connect an external mic as a mic.
Tinkerer
Hello, I have an
laptop and it has a headset jack with a headset logo as the jack input. I have a Razer Kraken Multiplatform and when I plugged this headset into the single jack input in my old case, both the mic and the headset worked, but it does not work on the laptop. I've been trying for days, I tried every driver, I tried it without a driver, there is no selection as Headset on the Realtek Audio Console, I will specify it in the attachment for audio devices, it only comes out that way and in the same way, I have a Bluetooth headset and when I connect it, the mic sound comes from the laptop's own mic, just like the Razer, no matter what I do, I cannot connect an external mic as a mic. It supports it in hardware, but it does not disappear, there is a problem in the software.

What happens if you right click and disable laptop's own mic?

Kulaklik = earphones = headset with mic.
Lightly tap your headset mic, the mikrofon dizisi = mic array should jump.

(1) Have any headset mics ever worked on this laptop?
(2) Is the original Acer OEM factory-installed Windows version still being used?

You are already using your headset mic. It is NOT a separate item. Kulaklik (with mic) ≠ Kulakliklar (no mic). Plug in your headset, pick Kulaklik, lightly tap your headset mic, the mikrofon dizisi will jump.
