The computer currently has a harddrive that i'm guessing is built into the board. 60gigs. The open slot on the motherboard was empty so I installed a Kingston 512GB SATA SSD Solid State Drive RBU-SNS8154P3/512GJ. I cant see the harddrive in the bios or when I boot into the computer. Please advise.

Go into Disk Management as the new M.2 SSD drive should be showing there and then initialize it give it a drive letter and then it will be formatted and will be shown in windows File Explorer. try that as that is what you haven't done. Good luck.

Thank you. The device doesn't currently show up in the bios. That was the first thing I tried. Could there be anything else. btw it doesn't show up in computer management.

It could be that you either installed your Swift SF114-32 laptop M.2 SSD drive wrongly or the drive is faulty as your laptop works with both SATA-3 type M.2 SSD drive and/or a PCIe 3 M.2 SSD drive. Have your laptop checked as the below specs are the M.2 SSD that your Swift SF114-32 model N17W6 operates with. Good luck.
