I have a predator po5-640 pc and when I try to put the xmp profile I can't. my bios has Extreme memory profile [X.M.P] but I can't go and turn it on it's kind of locked it won't let me get to it and I don't really know what to do is it because my motherboard doesn't support the xmp setting or is there some way to turn it on if anyone has any information I would be grateful if someone could help

the DDR5 that comes with our 5000-7000 models does not support XMP. i had to buy XMP 3.0 DDR5 for that to be enabled. and the MB is locked no way to change it except buy a new MB that has a full feature set.

All memory in the system needs to be XMP before you can choose XMP overclocking in the BIOS. The memory that ships with is typically not XMP, so you have to remove it and put only XMP in to get that function.

but does this mean that when I have an X.M.P profile in the bios that my ddr5 memories do not support the xmp possibility so that's why I can't turn it on or that if I want to use xmp pofiil I have to buy a completely new motherboard or is it enough to replace new memories

you need to buy XMP memory. i bought crucial DDR5, i use 4x16@4800MHz and have had it in my 5000 over a year now and it runs perfect. no issues ever.

well i actually bought some corsair dominator vengeance X series 6400@32 CL and it only ran at 40CL because our MB is very limiting and there is no way to change it. so, i ended up returning it and putting my 4x16@4800 back in.

if you want more of anything then you need to replace the MB.
