My newly bought acer nitro 5 laptop suddenly wont turn on after charging. This laptop is not even a week old. any answers?

    To reset and calibrate the battery of an Acer Nitro 5, you can follow the steps below12345:
    Hold the power button down for 10-15 seconds.
    Insert a paperclip into the battery reset pinhole on the bottom cover for 30 seconds.
    Wait for 15 minutes.
    Plug the charger back in.
    If the charging LED is steady orange, don't try to turn the machine on until it is steady blue.

    I recommend bringing/sending the laptop and power adapter to Acer Services and not to open the back as that may void the warranty, Ask Acer to reset the system to factory defaults.

    i was wondering if it is static build up. Since this happened after i fully charged my laptop while i wasnt using it. if it is static build up, how do i avoid it?

    There is a remote possibility of an ungrounded outlet receiving a surge from a like a lightening strike and shorting something out, or if you live in a country that has poor power regulation and a surge protector isn't used. But to echo @purpaw Do a warranty Claim and send it to Acer for repair.
