@LEO22 try to check if you have the latest BIOS version(v1.18 for an515-42). Reset the bios by tapping f2 after you press the power button. Press f9 to load the default settings. If that doesn't work, this USB board might be having problem. If you know how to work with disassembling the laptop, take this out and clean the both connectors and ribbon cable( be careful with this cause it is fragile.) Replacing this board is the last solution if those previous steps doesn't work.
Please remember to include @AnhEZ28 when you want to reply back to my comment so that I can check your response.
Thank you and have a nice day!

Is this happening when your laptop is plugged in with the adaptor? As and if its on battery only it means that your battery is going into a low state of charge. See the below lights for your laptop power. Btw, the S3 state is a sleeping state with the following characteristics: Power consumption, Less consumption than in state S2. Processor is off and some chips on the motherboard also might be off.

@StevenGen i also has the same problem. My laptop is currently charging, and the battery is full. Normally it would be 2 blues led but sometime the battery one just turns purple

dung0511, its important to know that Li-ion batteries degrade over time and your AN515-42 is a 6 years old laptop. It’s possible that the battery light on your laptop is purple because it is indicating that the battery is charging, even though it is already fully charged. Alternatively, it could be an issue with the battery or the software that controls the battery light. If you’re experiencing any other issues with your laptop’s battery, such as it not holding a charge or the battery life being shorter than expected, it may be worth checking the battery health status and doing a battery report, as you might need either a new battery or a charger adapter or your laptop has a fault in its charging rail circuitry and then you need to take your laptop to a technician in your area or to Acer Support. Good luck and hope this helps you out.
