Once you have successfully installed your M.2 SSD, you must activate your M.2 SSD on your laptop, which is a very simple process that requires physical installation and formatting.

Follow these steps and do this:

    • Open the disk management tool by typing “diskmgmt.msc” in the run dialog box.
    • Locate the m 2 ssd in the list of drives and right-click on it.
    • Select “initialize disk” and choose the partition GUID (GPT) format, do not use MBR.
    • Right-click again on the unallocated space on the drive and select “new simple volume.”
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to format the m 2 ssd with your preferred file system and partition size.

That is all you need to do as after that this M.2 SSD drive will show up in File Explorer and bios. Good luck.

What is your laptops model number, as the Predator GM7000 M.2 SSD is a Gen4x4 lane drive and it must show in Disk Management, and if none of the below step's work, it is possible that the SSD itself is faulty. In that case, you may need to contact the manufacturer or a professional repair service for further assistance.

If your M.2 drive is not showing up in Disk Management, there are a few things you can try to fix the issue so do this:

    1. Reconfigure the BIOS Settings: The SSD usually shows up in the boot priority settings of your BIOS. However, if there are some misconfigurations in the BIOS settings, the M.2 SSD might not show up. If you are sure that the SSD has no problem, readjust these settings to make the SSD show up in the BIOS and function as intended.
    2. Enable SATA Controller: If you have a SATA M.2 SSD installed on your computer, but the SATA controller has been disabled in the BIOS, you may not see the SSD even in the Disk Management utility. SATA controller manages the communication and data flow between the drive and the system. If this gets disabled for some reason, you won’t be able to access a SATA SSD or other SATA-based devices connected to the computer.
    3. Enable the M.2 Mode: Most systems automatically recognize the M.2 drive after it is installed. However, if the systems fail to do so, you must manually configure the PCI Express Slot Bandwidth to M.2 mode.
    4. Allocate the Drive: An unallocated disk will be shown on the Disk Management utility, but you will not see it in File explorer. Allocating the drive will configure the size, label, file system, and other parameters for the drive that will make it usable2

Change SATA mode to AHCI in BIOS and give the SSD a drive letter in Disk Management.

@Puraw I believe I have AHCI settings on in BIOS and I still am not able to see the new SSD am I still missing something? this is all I see unless the predator SSD has changed size from 512 to 476 It isn't there (yes I have tried scrolling down)

Yes, that is you new SSD, Disk1, D:/ volume, not sure why the capacity is not 512GB, you may have to initialize Disk 1, read this link how to proceed: https://www.diskpart.com/windows-10/ssd-not-showing-up-windows-10.html

You are showing two 512GB SSDs in that Disk Management picture. The difference in size is because drive manufacturers use 1,000,000,000 (10^9) bytes for GB and programmers use 1073741824 (2^30).
