I was trying to find the best title for the question but I'll give as much detail to the issue I'm having as I can.
So I recently started focusing more on gaming on my laptop (Acer Predator Helios 300 G3-571) relatively older machine but has treated me well and given me little to no issues in the decade I've owned it. A few years back a buddy of mine installed a new 500gb SSD for me and we lost track of time so he never got to swapping my OS onto it and getting everything setup. Fast forward to yesterday I was prepping myself to swap my OS over, so I migrated it over to the SSD and only had to boot into BIOS to change my loading drive and then be set to go.
The issue that is currently plaguing me is that my laptop screen is cracked and shows no display, so I use an hdmi and changed the settings so that it only displays on my monitor. Unfortunately I can't access BIOS efficiently as it won't cast my screen over to my monitor. I've tried changing my power settings for 'Changing what closing the lid does' and it still won't cast over, even changed the setting in windows + p to only show on 2. My laptops keyboard randomly stopped working one day, I can still use the button to power it on and press buttons to get the startup screen to scroll up so I can enter my password but other than those two functions no key presses work. I'm not sure if the laptop has one of those fn + f key buttons to change the screen it's casting on but I don't know if the keyboard being broken will be an issue or my external can take it's place.
Just wondering if I have any options to force it cast to my monitor or somehow change the boot option without needing to get into BIOS. Any and all help is appreciated, thank you!
