2 year's old battery? Should be still good, see if there is a pinhole at the back of your laptop with a small battery symbol, stick a pin in the pinhole till you feel it click and hold it there for 10 sec. Try to boot. If no results or no pinhole and the warranty has expired, open the laptop and DISCONNECT THE BATTERY, locate the CMOS module with the 2 twisted wires (Black&Red), remove the coin battery and shorten the +/- contacts inside the CMOS housing with a bended paperclip. Put the coin battery back with the + sign facing up. Unseat the RAM modules (if not soldered) and secure them firmly back in the slots. Press the power button for a full 10 seconds and reconnect the battery cable. Close the laptop and try to boot to Windows, uninstall the 2 battery drivers (see picture) in Device manager and just reboot. Or return it to the retailer as the warranty may still be valid.
