Well the problem is the computer won't take the 1TB SSD and will come up as no boosting device I don't know how to get the computer to take the SSD card because it shows up but it's not using it

    Hi,

Have you converted your SSD in GPT format with diskpart tool!?

    Example:

    select disk 0
    clean
    convert gpt

From the bios caption of your Nitro 5 AN515-44 above, you have ONE BOOT DRIVE at HDD0 which is the WD SN530 M.2 SSD drive, leave that drive like it is in SSD1 slot (which is the M.2 SSD slot above the 2.5" SATA drive space).

I don't know what you are trying to do, let us know, as you haven't made it clear? But the below guide works for both adding or cloning a new boot drive or just adding a slave M.2 SSD drive be recognized in Disk Management and File Explorer. so do the following:

    1. Put the new Acer FA100 M.2 SSD drive into SSD2 slot FIRST into your laptop (which is inside and next to the ram module on the right side of the laptop)
    2. Then > boot the laptop and right click the Windows Icon and go into Disk Management as your new Acer 1TB FA100 M.2 SSD should be showing as an uninitialized drive.
    3. Right click on the 1TB FA100 M.2 SSD and follow these initializing steps Initialize option and go through the steps

After you have initialized and given the new drive a drive letter like for example the D drive letter you should see the new Acer 1TB FA100 M.2 SSD drive in windows in Disk Management and File Explorer and then you can clone the WDC SN530 M.2 SSD boot drive onto the new Acer 1TB FA100 M.2 SSD drive or use it for a slave drive (whichever you want to do?) ,

To clone your old OS onto the new Acer 1TB FA100 M.2 SSD drive use the official Western Digital cloning software the Acronis True Image for Western Digital and read the instruction guide also, after you have finished cloning the old OS, take the WDC SN530 old M.2 SSD boot drive out and replace into SSD1 slot with the new and cloned Acer 1TB FA100 M.2 SSD drive, you must do that and boot the laptop without the old drive, as if you don't, then your laptop will always boot from the old M.2 SSD WDC SN530 drive, its a very simple process. Good luck and hope this helps you out.
