Hi all,

Wondering if anyone has a picture of the motherboard with the heatsink off or can tell me where and if any thermal pads go on this unit? If yes, what thickness?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

That picture is right out of the service guide for the Swift Go 14 SFG14-42, though it's not terribly unusual for them to make changes to the design after taking pictures of a prototype for the manual. Here's another picture from the step where you remove the last screw to remove the MB:

Is this one good enough? It's doesn't show the full motherboard, but does seem to cover everything the thermal module does:

There is thermal paste on the CPU, but no thermal pads that I can see.

    Thanks for the image.

This is my motherboard and it looks different compared to your picture?

The VRM's are cooled by the headspreader, right above the cpu, not sure if that part has any thermal pads.

Yes, my picture was with the thermal heatsink removed. They don't show any pads in the FRU list, only the thermal paste you can see on the CPU itself.

I still don't think it's the same board, if you look at your picture and compare it to the one I posted above, just focus on the portion you posted, layout looks different. Now, it could be that there's no thermal pads below the heatspreader but I'd like to hopefully confirm before I take mine apart and then don't have the correct material to put the HS back on.

    Thanks again.

    Thank you again.

Would you be able to share the work/service manual? All I can find are the user manuals.
