Acer Aspire E 11 ES1-111M-C40S, Windows 10, Blue Error Screen on Boot Up

I really need help, so if anyone has any advice, please let me know.

Here's the problem, as best as I can describe, even though I am trembling out of anger right now… which doesn't happen hardly ever.

I was doing things on my laptop, as I usually do, using firefox to look online to figure out why my laptop's wi-fi connection was so slow, when other computers and devices on the same network were getting full "bars." firefox kept crashing, and I thought it was due to the laptop's weak hardware, an almost-full hard drive, and sloppy internet connection. I'm not "new" to computers or the internet, but I don't claim to "know everything" about them. The title of this post is directly descriptive. the laptop's model, OS, and immediate problem. I have all the latest drivers installed on it (for the hardware), except for the audio because earlier this year the driver was somehow removed when I thought I was disabling the mic. I tried to install the latest audio driver, but that wasn't giving me back sound, so I used an earlier driver. I could not stand windows 8.1, and a tech friend suggested I upgrade to 10, and it was easier to deal with. Since it comes with a tiny hard drive, and I'm dirt poor, I was limited on which antivirus to install. I no longer trust avg and avast, and their programming is terrible. I was using another one, I think it started with "A" but I don't remember. I eventually moved on to pandadome free. I used to use spybot and ad-aware, but both programs were causing more problems than they solved, so I no longer use them. I use a lot of free wisecleaner.com programs to keep the hard drive cleaned. I don't know of any other relevant software I should list. most of all I use is installed on a usb-connected portable hard drive. back to what I was saying… I was looking for a solution to my wi-fi problem, and then the computer crashed, and gave me that windows 10 blue screen. I guess it's called a "stop code screen?" windows xp was never this problematic. on occasion, under circumstances I cannot figure out, sometimes when rebooting I get to a blue screen that gives me "options" on things I can try. reset, reboot, some kind of generic windows scan, and useless troubleshooting options. I have tried every option I get access to, and I am still unable to get in to windows. sometimes, on the acer logo loading screen, there's a message at the bottom that reads it is scanning for problems, and then states that it is fixing detected problems, but I eventually go back to the blue screen that says it's scanning/fixing/detecting errors. I am going to try to attach a txt file listing just about all of the technical specs, I am pretty sure it also includes the drivers.

I will be checking for updates on this post regularly. if anyone has any questions, or needs additional information, just let me know and I'll do my best.

You are still on Windows10 version 1803 "Redstone 4" from April 30 2018. Currently Windows10 is on version 22H2 from October 18 2022. This means you were not able to update your OS for over 4 years.
I saw that Acer latest Bios version 1.16 is dated 2015/12/11 so the MOBO and drivers are not compatible for W10 22H2 and IMO, that is probably why you have BSOD issues after you installed W10 22H2 drivers. I recommend you roll back to Windows8.1 or migrate to a new W11 (Aspire 3 entry-level sale $350) latop.

Puraw, thank you for posting so soon.

I am unable to access Windows, so I am also unable to roll back the driver(s). As I described, I cannot get past the blue screen and enter the OS or hard drive. I've been using Windows 10, since I bought the laptop, and this issue never presented itself. I let my brother use it for a couple of years, and he took excellent care of it, running protection and optimization scans daily. I only started using it again around August (this year). That was around the time I think I updated any drivers, but I am 95% certain that I did not update BIOS or motherboard drivers, because those two are areas that I do not have enough knowledge about to tinker with. As for getting a new laptop, I'm very, very poor. My last bank account was closed late last year after not having any money in it for 6 - 8 months straight. That I have anything, like internet access, is a blessing.

Sorry to hear that, I sympathize with your financial situation but you have to accept that you are better off running Windows 8.1 than phased out W10 1803 (November 12, 2019, end of service). W8.1 will be far more stable with your BIOS. W8.1 also ended in June 2023, so you won't be able to do a clean install of W8.1 but you may still have the original W8.1 installation DVD and may still activate online (not sure).

UPDATE: I just tempted to press the reset button (located on the bottom of the laptop, something not mentioned in any of the acer manuals). I held the button down for 25 seconds. This did not change anything. Still in need of help.

There seems to be some sort of confusion. I am unable to roll back anything, be it drivers or the OS. I cannot reset the hard drive. I cannot get into the operating system. I cannot flash the BIOS, or re-install any drivers. I've tried to reset things, but it gives me the error that there is not enough room on the hard drive. I have attempted all of the trouble shooting and advanced trouble shooting options, and nothing is working. The only items that came with the laptop was the device itself, a Lithium Ion Battery, and the AC Adapter. It did not come with any DVDs, CDs, or even a USB drive to do an emergency install/reset to factory settings. Acer used to sell a USB drive for this, but it seems to no longer be in their store.

UPDATE: My brother is trying to help me figure this problem out, but his skills are repairing cars and trucks, so he has the mind of a mechanic. Which is beneficial at times. He tried to go through the options on the laptop, and met the same dead ends I did. However, he suggested I look online for help with the blue error screen's diagnosis. "Bad System Config Info." I tried a few command prompt things; I can't do this >DISM /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth< I get an error that there is no online option, so I remove that, and try >DISM /cleanup-image /restorehealth< Then I get the message that cleanup-image is not a viable option. How can I run the DISM in command prompt? I also tried >sfc /scannow< and that didn't find any problems or errors. My next course of action is to somehow turn a flash drive into a bootable device that has windows 10 to refresh/replace bad files.

UPDATE: I just tried to use a bootable USB drive that I made using this program; MediaCreationTool22H2.exe I downloaded it from the microsoft website. I have a third-party program called "rufus" to make a bootable drive, but I need an ISO file for it to make something to boot. I don't know where to get an ISO for Windows 10 Home (64-bit) Version 1803 (10.0.17134). Can anyone help?
