On my Acer Swift 1 SF114-34-P63H, after (I suspect) the 4/11/2023 updates, I get three cmd windows open and close very quickly after logging in. Is this normal?

No, not normal, IMO these are older driver updates for W11 21H2 and 22H2 (MS catalog) probably for Touchpad. Check Device Manager if you see perhaps duplicate HID device drivers, yellow exclamation marks or greyed-out Unknown devices and uninstall only the drivers with the yellow exclamation marks and Unknown devices (leave duplicate drivers). You cannot roll back the Acer HID update, but you can restore to an earlier date (before November 14) in "Create a restore point-System Restore" or check/repair the system files with these 2 commands (to be run in that order): Make sure internet is working and open the Command Prompt as Administrator, paste this line and press Enter: Dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth when completed paste this and Enter: SFC /scannow that must complete with "….found no integrity violations", rerun till you see that. If this happens again turn off "Optional updates" in Check for updates-Advanced.

Thanks. There are no yellow exclamation marks in Device Manager, nor any duplicate drivers.

I plan to uninstall the Acer Care Centre and its ilk. I will revert.

Actually they are normal, it's just the services getting launched. Mine does the same thing and it happens really quickly, so doesn't affect normal activity.

But I'd never seen this before so I doubt if it's normal.

It may just be happening too fast for you to see, or you might not be loading the same services. They pop up and disappear almost immediately, when svchost.exe is used to launch a service.
