Tldr

i left the laptop on when i slept and next morning its now off and it doesnt power on

Tried cmos reset didnt work

tried the good ol screwdriver jump start but didnt work (drained whatever leftover electricity by jumpstarying it without battery

plugged the charger and battery charged but still wont turn on

my custom power switch wires were already soldered and working fine for weeks until this happened. also tried resoldering it aside from screwdriver jumpstart

also this is the temporary setup its been for weeks. so i really cannot know as of the moment what could have gone wrong (also it operated in a fairly cool 29-32 celsius ¢

WOW what a mess😀, you must have shorted the main power rail and if you are lucky, you only shorted a capacitor or a mosat and didn't do any damage to other major components, because and if you are unlucky then you burnet out the cpu or memory or bios chips?

Check the mobo rail from the keyboard #16 plug where you have soldered those two wires, then follow the power mobo rail path as you could have shorted the On-board Memory, the BIOS ROM, mosats protecting the power flow to the cpu, which would burn out the cpu., so check for circuitries that are burnt along that path and see which one they are and if the memory or bios or the cpu is burnt out as if the cpu or memory is burned out, you need a new mobo.

This is the A314-32 mobo description:

I don't get some other instructions and terminologies you said but i kinda get the gist of it,

if my understanding is right, i should check #16 where power pin is located and check the "rail" (i think this is the "traces" according to what i have searched up) and follow it and check for shorted components that are connected to it. But how do i precisely do it?

Yes, you need to check all the circuitry components on the mobo power rail for continuity with a multimeter, if they are not shorted or physically burned out, like and with the memory and the cpu, you need to injecting voltage into the mobo and see if these components work and they are not shorted, as if they are, they will heat up, so use either a thermal camera or just put alcohol onto these components and see if the alcohol dries, you need experience in doing all this, and if you don’t, then its best if you take your laptop to an experienced technician that does and can diagnose your laptop and fix it, if he can and you haven’t damaged the mobo as you might need a new mobo.

update: i just got all the tools i need that i could possibly afford.

And now using the multimeter (which im still new on it) i set the mode to continuity mode(according to google its the wifi symbol, and also it is on the same spot as diode symbol so idk if im really using continuity) then I put black to com slot and red probe to VmA slot ...

on the board i put the black probe to the ground (i think thats the exposed copper circles) then used the red probe to check for beeps.

so far i didtt hear any from bios, memory (back to back) and cpu) except for these two on the pic inside the red circle... im not sure if theyre supposed to do that but to add some detail, when i put the red probe on some certain side of those 2 components they make a long beep and the readings are somewhere around 024 or similar. on some othet side they dont beep long

(also i managed to clean the mess by a bit)
