New SFG14-71T Touchpad settings does not show Win11
Tinkerer
I have a new Swift Go 14 laptop that the trackpad settings does not show up in Windows 11 - anywhere (device manager, settings icon on taskbar etc). Device manager shows a windows driver for all the HID devices. None of the configuration options shown in the latest PDF manual show up. I did not see a downloadable driver on acer care for this model. Touchpad works fine, just like manual says but I cannot make any changes to the configuraton.

If you go into Taskbar Settings (Personalization > Taskbar), in the System Tray Icons section, there's an option to enable the virtual touchpad system tray icon, which is used to toggle an on-screen touchpad. When the virtual touchpad is visible, the touchpad options show up in settings and can be edited.
I can confirm that changes to settings work for the P3's touchpad, used this method to set three finger tap as middle click and to disable gestures.

To reset the Touchpad settings in W11 you have to turn it off first: https://www.elevenforum.com/t/reset-touchpad-settings-and-gestures-to-default-in-windows-11.7528/

The virtual touchpad works, I just don't see the physical touchpad available in settings. Again it's like the driver from acer was superceded by the windows touchpad driver.

Just to clarify, windows does not show a touchpad device in settings. The manual says to click the three icons on the taskbar wifi, speakers, battery icon then click the "wheel" for all settings. This brings up the Bluetooth & Devices window and there's nothing available for touchpad. The only "input" device is a bluetooth mouse I added. Again, touchpad works fine, but it doesn't appear to be configurable.

Here's the driver loaded for the touchpad. I tried uninstalling the device, then rescanned for new devices which reloaded the microsoft driver. When I checked for available acer drivers from the acer support site, no touchpad driver was listed amongst the many other drivers. Possibly this is "normal" for this laptop in windows at this point and acer doesn't actually supply a touchpad driver.

Try to install these two drivers one by one and Check after restart-

The touchpad setting that was used to be in the taskbar has been replaced with the precision touchpad setting that is in the setting > Bluetooth and devices > Touchpad. Many newer laptop models have changed to this.

Nothing available for TouchPad in BTW & devices on mine.

That would be a lot of changes to make! I hesitate to do this as the touchpad does work OK, just can't access the settings. Thank you though.

What happens if you enter 'touchpad settings' in the tray search spyglass icon. What pops up near the top of the Win11 menu?
