Predator Orion 7000 P07-640 CPU Fan controller question

Does anyone have experience replacing the cooler in the Acer Predator 7000? I replaced mine with a Noctua NH-U9S. However, the fan controllers are kind of strange. The single circled port seems to be the actual CPU Fan controller. The other two, including the one labeled CPU FAN, seem to run at 100% at all times. If I plug my CPU fan into the one labeled CPU, then Predator Sense doesn't recognize the CPU Fan and it runs at max speed. It's very odd.

The PO7-640 oem CPU cooler fan is connected to the CPU_FAN connector by default, so check the Noctua NH-U9S plug if it matches, as it might not meet those specs and/or you might have to modify #3 pin of this plug to coincide with the Noctua NH-U9S fan, as this CPU_FAN connector plug is specifically made for the oem CPU cooling module and fan for the PO7-640, see below:

Note: The CPU_FAN is a fan connector that supports a CPU cooling fan of 1.1A ~ 2.2A
    (26.4W max) at +12V,
like Acer notes below, check the Noctua sensor and make sure that it connects to the CPU_FAN plug, like below.

    Just a thought.

Maybe the original fan/pump has higher minimum revs than Noctua fan does? If I'm not mistaken, Noctua's rev range is 400 - 2000 RPMs. Even 2000 might be less than the original minimum revs.

Try using the included Low Noise Adaper. Does it lower your revs and still keep your temps in check?

Glad to provide you all the info I can, good luck in sorting this problem out as the Noctua NH-U9S is a top end CPU cooler system and has been used for the Predator desktops range allot and this CPU cooler works/worked with previous Predator desktop models but I don't know about the sensor part, as community members never companied about that factor with this CPU cooler before on this forum, so there must be something new going on with the PO7-640 model.

i have a Noctua NH-U12A in my 5000 plugged into that CPU port and my predator sense controls it and shows the rpms etc. are you using the cable provided by Noctua? and didn't your 7000 come with liquid cooling?

I'm using the supplied cable. For some reason Predator Sense cannot control the fan plugged into the CPU_FAN port. Here I have it installed and hooked up. HWMonitor shows CPUFAN at 1600 RPM and Predator Sense says CPU fan is 0.

It did have a liquid cooler, but it was very loud in both of my Predator 7000's and one that I exchanged. So I've replaced the cooler

was the liquid cooler a single fan or dual fan? and all you have to do is replace those fans on the radiator then it would be quiet. the only other thing i can think of have you restarted the computer since doing this? and you can always reset the bios it's really easy and or reinstall predator sense. if it works on my 5000 with a Noctua NH-U12A dual fan it should work for yours.
