I was looking at putting a rtx 4070 in also was wondering what other cooling options are there could i put more fans in as ino the case dosent support liquid cooling and should i change the cpu cooler the pc comes with. Thank you

GPU upgrades are really going to depend on which PSU you have. The PO5-600s models came with either a 500W or 750W supply. The 4070 will likely run with a 500W, but Nvidia really wants 650W as the base and 700W for a 4070 ti.

You can always drop a newer motherboard in, but be aware that any performance increase will also require a new CPU and memory to match the new MB.

Just some additional advice and to set out the options that you have in addition to what you have been advised above, your Predator PO3-600s mainboard is an Intel B360 Chipset board that is not recommended for use with a superior Intel Core i9-9900 processor, so you can't go to that route of an upgrade, as Acer does not have a bios update and/or specifies an i9-9900 cpu as compatible for the PO3-600s mainboard, you will need to change the mainboard to an Intel Z370 Chipset type mainboard to be able to upgrade to the i9-9900 cpu. imo you should NOT waste your money on this desktop, your best option is to sell this desktop on eBay and then go out and buy a new Acer Predator PO3-650 that has a 13Gen i7-13700F CPU's / 16GB max RAM at DDR5-4800Mhz / RTX 3070 GDDRVI 8GB/ 750W PSU or the higher end gaming Predator PO7-650 / i9-13900K / 64 GB DDR5 5600MHz / XMP 6600MHz / GeForce RTX™ 4090 24GB GDDR6X / PCIe4x4 M.2 SSD and 1200W PSU that will be a far superior desktop than whatever you upgrade this PO3-600s to.

The only thing that you can do is to upgrade the gpu to a better gpu than you have and your PO3-600s 500W PSU can handle, which is the below Acer tested and proven gpu's that they fitted to your desktop, and also upgrade the ram to 4x 16GB DDR4-2666MHz modules into your desktops 4x ram DIMM slots, see all the info that I've included for you from the PO3-600s SG below. Good luck and hope this helps you out to make your choice.

PO3-600s Memory Specs and its population of its #1 to #4 DIMM slots:

The below GPUs are all the different GPUs that Acer fitted to the PO3-600s OEM, the GeForce RTX 2070 8GB GDDR6 is the top of the range GPUs that Acer fitted to this desktop with its 500W PSU.

There are also what GPUs that you can fit to a desktop that has a 500W PSU:

    • NVIDIA RTX 3060 – 500W
    • NVIDIA RTX 2080 Ti – 550W
    • NVIDIA RTX 3070 – 500W
    • AMD RX 6800 – 550W

You can Upgrade RAM to 2 x16GB or 2 x 36GB, and add (Easy Swap HDD cage) a fast 2.5" Sata-3 SSD like the Samsung 870 EVO 2TB and also replace the M.2 250GB SSD for a NVMe Gen3 SSD like Samsung 970 Evo Plus, or WD SN720 up to 1TB:

The GTX 1660-Ti , can be replaced by a RTX 4070-Ti card: https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-RTX-4070-Ti-vs-Nvidia-GTX-1660-Ti/4146vs4037 (subject to PSU limitations you have):

cheers for getting back to me billsey

Im not to familiar with upgrading computers i have rough knowledge , is there a certain psu i will need if i was to upgrade that im guessing i have a 500w as i bought the pc in 2019-2020 sometime around then im guessing the components i have in there wouldent require more than 500w currently , as for the motherboard any idea what type i would need , i would only change the motherboard as i think i can only go up to 9th gen i9 for cpu on this motherboard not sure if that would be good enough ,

You can look at the side of the power supply to get the wattage it provides. From that we can figure out what cards will work without a replacement to the supply and what cards will require a bigger supply. From that you can make a value judgement as to how much you want to invest…

thanks for all the usefull info , but looking at the options i might just do as you said and sell this one and buy a newer one with more room to upgrade in the future if needs.
