Bizarre faulty screen issue with Acer Swift 3 sf314-43-R4X3

Yesterday I bought a faulty Acer Swift 3 laptop at a discounted price. But I can’t stop noticing the defect on the screen. It is basically an invisible line that doesn’t mess up the colors, but smears any texts or objects on it. Can anyone explain why this happens and if possible is there any quick fix for the issue

    It might be an issue with the cable running between the motherboard and screen, or an issue with the display itself. I assume by Swift 3 14 you mean one of the SF314-xxx-xxxx models? Which one is it, there have been hundreds of different SKUs and even tones of different model series over the years…

    The text in the caption above doesn't look smeared to me, if you need to change the eDP cable or screen these are the Acer part number just for your reference.

    These are all the Acer fitted different screen for the SF31443, the highlighted numbers are the manufacturers part numbers that you should search for a new screen with:
