I just purchased my brand new laptop last September 2023. I think my battery drains faster than how it should be. I limit my battery charge to 80%, and it takes only 3-4 straight open. I just usually browse online for my work (google chrome). Please see attached photo below for my battery report. Thank you so much.

Battery report seems fine. Chrome and Edge browsers are notorious memory and power hogs especially running videos. I suggest FireFox instead as a more efficient and straightforward browser.

Limiting battery charge to 80% does little or nothing for battery health except perhaps make the user feel better. Charging battery to 100% and leaving it plugged in does no harm despite anecdotal internet claims suggesting otherwise.

Yes, "Battery Limiting" to preserve battery life is an internet hoax, completely uninstall ACC or disable that option in ACC. Your battery capacity shows higher than the design capacity, that should be the other way around, if you never did a full charge cycle with your new laptop, both BIOS and Windows have not registered yet the capacity of the battery resulting in wrong statistics. Google how to perform a full charge cycle (you only do that once till you replace the battery for a new one after 4 years).

Hello! I just recently activated that "battery limiting", pretty sure it hasn't been 2 weeks since I've done that. I'll look that full charge cycle up. Thank you for helping!

You are welcome. Basically a full charge cycle means charging the battery when the laptop is completely* shutdown till the amber charging light turns blue, wait 10 minutes, boot to windows and unplug the power adapter. Use your laptop till it shuts down automatically (reaches the 2% charge hibernate mode), plug in the adapter again and let it charge without turning the laptop on till the amber light turns blue, wait 10 minutes and boot to Windows. *Completely shutdown: Not in Sleep or Hibernate mode and not in Hybrid mode (Fast Startup).
