Hello,

My Acer aspire 7 went for repair to Acer a couple of weeks ago since it wouldnt turn on anymore, after I received it back it updated to windows 11 and seemed to worked fine, only recently I noticed that my laptop actually isn't using the Nvidia graphics card. So I checked Device manager and it showed code 43. I tried every solution I could find on the internet, updating all drivers, deleting all the drivers and installing them again. Nothing seems to work. When I update the drivers the yellow triangle and error code disappear for a while, but it's still not using the Graphics card, it's not showing up in task manager and runs only on the Intel Graphics. After restarting my laptop the error code is back again.

I hope this community can help me out, Thanks!

What is your Aspire 7 exact model number? As if you can’t fix the Error Code 43 by the usual software fixes then your dedicated NVidia GPU is damaged and you either use the laptops cpu integrated graphics or and if you need a dedicated NVidia graphics, then you will need to buy and change the mainboard with a new NVidia GPU mainboard for your Aspire 7 laptop,

There are no other alternatives as a soldered-on GPUs can't be change, well they can be but there are no bare bone GPUs around to buy and even if there are on eBay or web marketplaces, be aware that most of them will be faulty “SO DON'T BUY ONE” as NVidia or AMD don't sell their bare bone GPUs new, and your only other option is to buy a new mobo. Good luck.

    Thank you for your replies!

    It's a Acer Aspire 7 (a715-75G-533K)

The motherboard was replaced by Acer during the repairs, i'll take it back to the store that arranged the repair with Acer. As this was done about a month before my warranty expired, I hope they will be able to help me out somehow, I assume something went wrong when they repaired the motherboard.

once again thanks for your advice and replies!

Ok now I know what your situation is, definitely send your A715-55G-533K laptop back to the store you bought it from, and they should send the laptop back to Acer, as this laptop is still under warranty for parts and labor, as Acer must have fitted a replacement faulty mainboard, but be aware also that Acer could come back and say that you have a faulty power supply that has caused these two mainboards to burn out, so be aware of this also, so you need proof.

Be also aware that if you need to replace this mainboard yourself for an Aspire A715-75-533K laptop like you have with the i5-10300H/NVIDIA GeForce® GTX 1650 Ti cpu/gpu combo, this mainboard costs up to USD $1,880.00 from a known Acer retailer plus installation costs, so it anint cheap, as its cheaper to buy a new laptop. Good luck and hope this helps you out.
