Hello,

I have a 3060 and since driver 537.42 the GPU limits its power to 30W even when plugged in. To solve the problem I have to reinstall the driver every time I turn on the PC.

For the time being, I'm sticking with driver 537.34, which poses no problems. It's true that sometimes the GPU is in "30W mode" when I switch on a game, but a simple unplug/replug restores the normal state (~80W).

Any ideas?

Do not take into account either the date or the version of the one provided by Acer, keep in mind that the ones from NVidia are generic for their cards while the one from Acer is custom made for their equipment.
It is fine to install the NVidia ones if they do not present problems, but in your case the problem may be caused by the driver.

Simply do the test, uninstall the NVidia one and install the Acer one, which will also be updated by Windows Update and try it.

If the problem is not fixed, you can go back to the NVidia driver by installing it again.

    All the best.

Hi @Paul159753 What 537 controller are you referring to? Is it the NVidia graphics card driver?
    What model do you have?
If correct, have you tried the one provided by Acer for your computer?

    All the best.

    I have a rtx 3060 (laptop).

537 is the driver version https://www.nvidia.fr/download/driverResults.aspx/212825/fr The one in acer website is way older (v457.xx).
