Dozens of Nitro5 models with 1650 chips. Which one do you have? For example, AN515-21?

What is your laptops model number, as just saying "one day I was playing my games then it crashed then Intel(R) PCIe Controller (x16) - 1901 has a yellow triangle" means nothing. This Intel(R) PCIe Controller (x16) - 1901 has to do with the GTX-1650 gpus and the way to fix this problem is to install and follow the DUU guide to completely uninstall all previous NVidia drivers for the GTX-1650ti and also update to the last bios and any vbios for your laptop, then install the last NVidia GTX-1650ti version driver and also install the Intel® Driver & Support Assistant and update the graphics and all Intel drivers that are appropriate for your laptop, all this will fix the "Intel(R) PCIe Controller (x16) - 1901 has a yellow triangle".

  • Can you tell the idhardware of that device that is having problems?

Yes, I have the same issue with my Nitro An515-55 model. I formatted the laptop, which solved the problem for a week but repeated the same issue. The PCIe Controller(x16)-1901 goes missing and the GTX1650 will also not be detected.
I have tried updating the graphic drivers and tried enabling it from the device manger noting is working.
    Does anyone know what's wrong?

I have tried updating the graphic drivers

Go to this link. Choose your Windows version, Click the load more button. And install all the Acer OEM nvidia drivers relevant to your 1650.

When it "sometimes works" , are you sure the Device Manager yellow warning is still there?

This type of intermittency might suggest one or more bad or cracked solder joints. Since it seems isolated to the discrete GPU, a solder re-flow directed at the chip's soldered connections with a heat gun might be the fix.

yeah i’ve heard about it from somewhere else. But the problem is I can’t suggest the technician to how to fix it they dont understand the instructions

Instructions are simple. Direct the heat gun at the solder joints until they melt. Solder usually develops a bright reflective liquid mercury-like sheen at the solid-to-liquid phase transition temperature. Usually ~430*F or ~220*C. Another somewhat riskier technique is a full board solder reflow by placing a stripped mainboard on an aluminum cookie sheet and baking it for about 10 mins in an oven or toaster-oven preheated to 425-450*F.

do you know where the solder joints might be

Yes. They'd be located under the 1650 GPU chip's fan on the mainboard. The thermal module, fans and heatsinks would have to be removed from both the CPU and GPU chips and the mainboard taken out of the chassis to access both top and bottom of the mainboard. All heat sensitive components like RAM modules, LCD, touchpard, and KB connectors would also have to be stripped from the mainboard. Disassembly like this is not too difficult but time-consuming and not guaranteed to work. An experienced laptop technician could likely do the job in about 2 hrs.

If it's the same intermittent problem, then a cracked solder joint is likely. If not, it might be a different problem. This is an old thread. So it's better for you to start your own new thread by clicking on the green ask a question button.
