last week my laptop was working fine, next day it was showing this. It will not let me past this screen. Even if I hit the advanced options, and uninstall and updates, or restore system, anything, when it restarts it comes back to here! Is the computer done?

You have to get out of the Automatic Repair Loop. There are several ways to do that, I recommend 2 methods, 1: As soon as you see the Acer logo on your screen press quickly Alt+F10, that will direct the system to the Windows Recovery OS instead of Automatic Repair.

2: If that fails, boot with the Windows Recovery flash drive (also called repair disk) made for your Windows version, you can make one on another Windows PC (same Windows version). Follow instructions on this forum how to boot with a USB drive. The Windows Recovery screen that you see with both methods (1&2) show the same Troubleshoot screen with Advanced options like "Reset this PC without losing files", "System Restore to an earlier point" and "Restore your system from an external backup drive" (if you made regular backups). You can also select "Restart", F4, Safe Mode and boot in Safe Mode (with or without network) to disable rogue drivers with yellow exclamation marks in device Manager, etc.

The BSOD blue screen "SYSTEM THREAD EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED" with the "what failed ETD.sys" should not be happening to such a new laptop.

This is one way of the fixes this fault, but for a new laptop like this it should NOT be happening, so book a service call at your local Acer Tech Support so that they can fix your laptop or change appropriate touchpad parts with new parts as they are faulty in your Travelmate!

If you want to fix this problem (but I wouldn't touch the laptop and/or open it also) you can try this fix:

ETD.sys exception not handled is a blue screen of death error caused by a faulty touchpad driver. To fix this error, you can try the below fixes:

Booting into blue screen until you get to troubleshoot menu, then renaming or deleting ETD.sys from command prompt1

Booting into safe mode or recovery environment, then updating or reinstalling the touchpad driver

Using system restore to restore your Windows to a previous point

Identifying the file name along with the error message and removing or updating the problematic driver

Since the laptop was produced in 2013, ten years ago, it can hardly be described as 'new'. The error is related to the Elan trackpad software. Once you get it started booting you can uninstall that driver and allow the system to reinstall it. Likely one of the files for the driver is corrupted.
