Acer Nitro 5 AN515-55-5 Second M.2 SSD is causing Bios to not recognize original SSD when plugged in
I have an Acer Nitro 5 AN515-55-53AG. It came with a 256 M.2 SSD installed and I recently purchased an ACER FA100 M.2 PCIe Gen 3 x4, NVMe 1.4 Everything I read says it should be compatible and I wanted to plug it into the second M.2 slot in my laptop for the extra storage. However, when I plug the new SSD into the slot and try to boot up the comp. I get an error message that says "No Bootable Device". When I go into BIOS mode it shows that i have no hard drives at all, even though I did not unplug the original. As soon as I unplug the new SSD and reboot, everything starts up just fine. Do I have a bad SSD, or am I missing something? A buddy told me I may need to format the new SSD but would that fix the issue with it not letting my comp see the original drive? Thank you for any help you can give, this is the first time I have ever tried to upgrade something.

The new SSD should work, check that slot if the SSD is fully inserted, did you use a thick heatsink that obstructs the connection? Try to swap the two drives and see if that works. Get a Samsung 970 Evo Plus NVMe PCIe M.2 1TB that has been tested ($50):
