Can you have an SSD and a SATA drive on the Nitro 5 AN515-54?

I just got a used Nitro 5 with a 1TB Sata drive. I have a SSD in my old laptop. Can I have both drives installed and running on the Nitro? Thanks.

Yes, your AN515-54 Nitro laptop has 2x M.2 SSDs, their M.2 SSD slots are of the following specs, SSD1 which is the boot drive is a PCIe3x4 speed and the SSD2 which is the slave drive is a PCIe3x2 which half the read/write speeds of the boot drive, so be aware of that.

All Nitro 5 models after and including the model AN515-53 have 2x M.2 SSDs and 1x 2.5" SATA III drives for storage. The AN515-56 and pre-Nitro models have an SSD1 boot slot that runs quicker than its SSD2 slot that, the Nitro 5 models after the AN515-56 have both M.2 slots at PCIe4x4 so be aware of this as the SSD2 M.2 slave slots are 50% slower read/write speeds than the SSD1 boot M,2 slots, so be aware of this.

Thanks. I have an AN515-54. So if I understand correctly, I could actually have 2 SSD drives, one booth for the OS, one for storing games and I could keep the SATA drive for storing documents?
