Does Acer Aspire A515-45-R209 support dual sided NVME SSD drives

I'd like to know if the Acer Aspire A515-45-R209 supports dual sided NVME SSD drives as I would like to replace the 512GB drive with a 4TB drive.

The specific drive I am considering is the TeamGroup MP34 4TB which is dual sided (which means that it might be a bit thicker than single sided so I wanted to know if it will still work).

    Hi @ttmack,

I recently installed an ADATA M.2 SSD PCIe Gen 4.0x4 XPG Gammix S70 Blade with 1TB capacity (double side chips) with successfully on an Aspire 5 A515-45G series. And so far, it's working well!

Thanks for the reply but your SSD is only single sided. Double side drives have chips on both sides like in the picture below.

    Hi @tttmack,

I can tell you with "absolute certainty" that the aforementioned SSD drive is dual-sided (it has chips on both sides of the PCB). 😉👍

    Best Regards!

Acer reports that the Aspire 5 A515-45(G) family series supports M.2 PCIe 3.0x4 SSDs with a capacity of up to 1 TB. But I believe that the DXE code available in latest UEFI firmware (1.14), supports 4 TB.

I think it would be very interesting to test it with a 4 GB drive, and then let us know if it worked!
