Trying to upgrade my SSD and wondering if SSD Lexar Nm620 1tb M.2 Nvme 2280 Pcie or SSD 1tb M.2 Kingston Snv2s/1000g Nvme Pcie 4.0 would work in my Nitro 5. If both of them wich one should I choose? Many thanks in advance for any answers!

The Nitro 5 AN515-44 has these storage specs, the AN515-44 SSD1 boot M.2 drive slot is a PCIe3x4 and the SSD2 slave drive spec is a PCIe3x2, so be aware of that as the slave drive speeds of read/write do not go higher than 2000MB/s , and you laptop also has a 2.5" SATA III drive space.

The Lexar NM620 is the M.2 drive that is the most suitable for your laptops SSD1q boot drive as its the quickest M.2 drive that the AN515-44 can utilize, the Kingston SNW2S M.2 drive is a PCIe4x4 that your laptop will never ever utilize this drives speeds. Fit the Lexar drive into SSD1 M.2 boot slot and in the SSD2 M.2 slave slot fit an M.2 drive like the WD SN520 PCIe Gen3 x2 NVMe v1.3 type drive, as these two M.2 drive combinations will be the best PCIe Gen3 drives for the AN515-44 laptop.

  • Its not a problem glad to help you out, as allot of Acer users don't know these detailed specs and are wasting money on drives that their laptops or PCs will never ever utilize.
