Sorry for the long post. So my acer laptop gets hot to the point that it can genuinely burn you(specifically the cpu) and I would definitely consider it to be a safety hazard. This has happened about 3 times when I put the laptop to sleep. There are issues with the laptop failing to wake up from sleep as well. I usually have to plug in the charger or reset the battery using the pinhole. Seeing as my 1 year warranty was about to end I sent it in for repairs. When I spoke to the first agent he really downplayed the situation saying that there was just overheating “around the keyboard in the cpu area”. I noticed this once they sent the email for the repair case and called them back, explaining what the first agent failed to to note down. The second agent seemed to properly understand the situation claiming that it was a safety hazard and that she had noted down everything, but it wouldn’t be visible to me. I got the laptop back a couple days ago and they replaced the fan and thermal paste, but I was shocked when they claimed that these are “normal temperatures”. So once again I called customer support explaining the situation and the agent tells me that there are no notes from the second call. At this point im not sure what to do since there’s so much miscommunication every time I try to call customer support. I know I have 90 days to resend the laptop if the issue arises again. What’s my best course of action?
