Hi all,

I have recently purchased this laptop (with the 250Hz miniLED display; AUO Model: B180QAN01.2) and to my surprise, the display appears to have not been factory-calibrated whatsoever. Moreover, the color settings are totally mismatched dependent on whether the display is running via the dedicated or on-board GPU.

I have asked Acer Support to provide me with the ICC/ICM profile but so far they have not even understood what I am asking for. I've also scoured the internet but have thus far been utterly unsuccessful at finding a profile anywhere.

Does anyone happen to have the calibrated profile handy? It would be very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

These people sell color profiles. I was interested in (and didn't find) a color profile for the mini-LED version of the Acer Predator 18 display. But I included the link above to give you an example of what they offer. Maybe at some point they'll offer a color profile for the mini-LED.

BAD IDEA. Never use someone else's ICC Profile unless they where there to measure your screen's color profile. Monitor like humans not one is exactly the same as the other… even twins. Same applies to display screen. not two will ever be the same when it comes to brightness and color gamut.

Get your own colorimeter and/or specto and measure and make your own ICC profiles.

Definitely tend to agree. With that said, find it absolutely ridiculous that the display did not come factory calibrated at the price point of £3k+. Considering the laptop also managed to fry within less than 2 months, I’m not likely to ever choose an Acer product again.

I feel you. I just got the 2023 Predator Triton 17X and it's missing the VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification. I have two ASUS laptop and a Lenovo laptop and all of them have that certificate installed in Windows and both the ASUS laptop have factory calibrated ICC profiles (both OLED).
