Anyway to stop from forced firmware update?

My battery is fried, my laptop only turns on with power plugged in and I can't afford to replace and warranty not an option so please don't tell me those 2.
I made the mistake of installing a firmware update from windows update and now when I reset it says You must meet 2 requirements to upgrade firmware
25% + Battery
Plugged into power source.
I can get around this by resetting a second time and I get into windows. i tried reset this pc to reinstall windows but I still get this error when I reboot.
Is there anyway to stop my pc from trying to update the firmware or am I screwed.

Solved it, if anyone else has the same problem, go to Device Manager -> Firmware,Acer nitro firmware ,  Right click , uninstall , and also select the checkbox that say something like delete firmware from divice
